Coming soon …AVATAR
In the epic action adventure AVATAR, James Cameron, the director of “Titanic,” takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination. On the distant moon Pandora, a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization. The film was first conceived by Cameron 14 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of actual production work, AVATAR delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film, disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.

An extraordinary life of adventure, celebrity and continuing mystery comes to light in AMELIA, a vast, thrilling account of legendary aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart (two time Academy Award® winner Hilary Swank).
After becoming the first woman to fly across the Atlantic, Amelia was thrust into a new role as America’s sweetheart – the legendary “goddess of light,” known for her bold, larger-than-life charisma. Yet, even with her global fame solidified, her belief in flirting with danger and standing up as her own, outspoken woman never changed. She was an inspiration to people everywhere, from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt (Cherry Jones) to the men closest to her heart: her husband, promoter and publishing magnate George P. Putnam (Golden Globe® winner Richard Gere), and her long time friend and lover, pilot Gene Vidal (Ewan McGregor). In the summer of 1937, Amelia set off on her most daunting mission yet: a solo flight around the world that she and George both anxiously foresaw as destined, whatever the outcome, to become one of the most talked-about journeys in history.
AMELIA is directed by Mira Nair (THE NAMESAKE, VANITY FAIR, MONSOON WEDDING) from a screenplay by Academy Award® winner Ron Bass (RAIN MAN) and Anna Hamilton Phelan. The film is produced by Ted Waitt, Kevin Hyman and Lydia Dean Pilcher with Ron Bass and Hilary Swank serving as executive producers and Don Carmody as co-producer. AMELIA opens in cinemas November 12. www.ameliathemovie.com.au
THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE
From all outward appearances, Pippa Lee (ROBIN WRIGHT PENN) leads a charmed existence. An anchor of feminine serenity, she is the devoted wife of an accomplished publisher (ALAN ARKIN) thirty years her senior, the proud mother of two grown children, and a trusted friend and confidant to all who cross her path. But as Pippa dutifully follows her husband to a new life in a staid Connecticut retirement community, her idyllic world and the persona she has built over the course of her marriage will be put to the ultimate test.
In truth, the gracious woman of the present day has seen more than her fair share of turmoil in her past – an array of erotic misadventures, a diet-pill-addicted mother and the suicide of an exotic rival – until finding love and security in a family of her own. Embarking on a bittersweet journey of self-discovery, along with help from a new, strange and soulful acquaintance (KEANU REEVES), Pippa must now confront both her volatile past and the hidden undercurrents of her seemingly placid world to find the true sense of self which has always eluded her.
By turns wry, humorous, and emotionally exacting, THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE presents the complex portrait of the many lives behind a single name.

The Museum is nestled in the southern Sydney suburb of Loftus, which adjoins the beautiful and expansive Royal National Park. It is easily reached either by car or train:
The Museum is easily reached by travelling south from Sutherland on Rawson Avenue, formerly the Princes Highway. Be sure to travel along Rawson Avenue, not the Sutherland bypass. The adjoining map points out that there is no right turn from the bypass.
The Museum buildings can be seen on the right just before Rawson Avenue joins the bypass. There is limited parking in Pitt Street; other parking is available along Rawson Avenue itself.
The Museum is located adjacent to the Illawarra line to the south of Sydney. Catch a Waterfall service and alight at Loftus, one stop past the junction at Sutherland. You may also catch a Cronulla service but change at Sutherland for the Waterfall train. CityRail’s suburban services provide a half-hour service to Loftus during the day. The journey takes about 35 minutes from the city. The Museum is right next to Loftus station and the main entrance is just a short 75 metre walk from the station.
